Allegation of Assault on Students by School Clerk in West Pilak, Several Injured

An allegation has surfaced that several Class XI students were assaulted by Krishna Lodh, a clerk at West Pilak Higher Secondary School in the Jolaibari area of South Tripura. The incident reportedly took place on the school premises on Friday, leaving several students injured. The injured students are currently undergoing treatment at Jolaibari Hospital. According to local sources, the incident reportedly began following allegations that a teacher of the school was subjected to inappropriate and derogatory remarks. A verbal altercation subsequently broke out between school clerk Krishna Lodh and some Class XI students over the issue. It is alleged that the clerk then suddenly attacked the students, leaving several of them injured. Following the incident, the injured students were rushed to Jolaibari Hospital for treatment. They are currently undergoing medical care. Local sources have claimed that some of the injured students sustained serious injuries. The alleged assault inside an educational institution has created concern in the area. Questions have also been raised regarding the circumstances that led to the incident and the exact sequence of events. However, no official statement has so far been issued by the school authorities regarding the incident. The police have also not released any official statement. Therefore, the veracity of the allegations, the exact cause of the incident and whether any legal action has been taken remain unclear. Local residents and some parents have demanded an impartial investigation into the incident and appropriate action against those found responsible.
